1. What types of EV chargers do you offer?

We supply and install high-quality EV chargers, including the MyEnergi Zappi, compatible with all electric vehicles sold in Ireland. All models support Type 2 cables and deliver 7.4kW or 22kW power outputs.

2. How much does an electric car charger cost?

Our chargers start at €995, with the SEAI grant of €300 available for eligible homeowners. Prices vary depending on the model and features (e.g. Wi-Fi, app control).

3. Am I eligible for the SEAI €300 grant?

Yes, most Irish homeowners are eligible for the SEAI EV Home Charger Grant. We’ll guide you through the application process to make claiming it simple.

4. What’s included in the installation service?

We provide safe, certified installation by SEAI-registered electricians. Standard installation includes fitting to your fuse board or ESB meter connection, with clean routing of cabling. Additional costs may apply for more complex setups.

5. Where do you install EV chargers?

We currently install in Cork, Kerry and Limerick. Chargers are typically wall-mounted on your house or garage, ideally near where your vehicle is parked.

6. How long does it take to charge an EV at home?

With a 7.4kW charger, most EVs will fully charge overnight (6–10 hours). Faster 22kW chargers are available for compatible three-phase homes, which reduce charging time significantly.

7. Is it safe to charge an EV in the rain?

Yes. All our chargers and EVs are weatherproof and tested to European safety standards. Rain will not damage your charger or vehicle during normal use.

8. Will a home charger work with any electric car?

Yes — our chargers support all major EVs using Type 2 Mode 3 charging. If your vehicle uses Type 1, we can provide a compatible cable upon request.

9. Should I charge my electric car every night?

Charging nightly is safe and often more cost-effective, especially using night-time electricity rates. Modern EVs automatically stop charging when full to prevent overcharging.

10. What’s the difference between tethered and untethered chargers?

Tethered chargers have a fixed charging cable.

Untethered models allow you to use your own cable, offering more flexibility.

Both options are available depending on your preference.

11. Can a home EV charger increase my property value?

Yes. With EVs becoming mainstream, homes with a professionally installed charger can appeal more to future buyers — especially in urban or commuter areas.
